I suppose I would have to go back to 1993 when I first got involved with the Commonwealth Games. I think that was the year I applied to the Commonwealth Relations Trust for a Bursary to attend the Games in Victoria BC.
The newly formed WBBL is set to get its inaugural campaign off to a flying start when all ten clubs come together centrally for what promises to be a spectacular opening weekend of the season.
Some years ago broadcaster SKY began a series of city centre cycling events known as SKYRIDE. I have had the pleasure of being involved with a number of these. It is always a joy to see the Manchester city centre closed off so that the cyclists could ride in safety.
Well having attended the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada, Melbourne, Australia and Manchester, I was overjoyed when Glasgow was announced as Hosts for the 2014 Games. I took the opportunity to visit the City and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere as a fan.
