Welcome to part 1 of our exclusive interview with Lisa Stansfield from the Sunset Radio archive from 1992.

Back in the Day at Sunset Radio, one of our proudest moments was securing an exclusive interview with Coretta Scott King the widow of Dr Martin Luther King.

One of my most prized possessions from the days of Sunset Radio is something that we received right out of the blue.

Our celebrations continue. In this photo album we bring you some of the people and places that made Sunset Radio what it was. Some of these photos are not very high quality but it is all that I have got. If you have better quality photos or originals then please get in touch.

Later this summer the City of Glasgow will welcome the world for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Back in 2002 it was the City of Manchester who had the pleasure of hosting the Games.

This April, 2014, Piccadilly Radio will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. I had the great pleasure of working at the Station for 8 years between 1978 and 1986. See some of the articles I have written about the station here.

Our celebrations continue. In this photo album we bring you more of the people and places that made Sunset Radio what it was. Some of these photos are not very high quality but it is all that I have got. If you have better quality photos or originals then please get in touch.

Back in the days of Sunset Radio we were offered two tickets to attend the Motown Convention taking place in Kingston, Jamaica. I decided that one of our journalists, Marilyn Comrie, would attend and we would have a competition to find a listener to accompany her on the trip. This is the letter I received from the winner, Angela Clarke, on their return.

Tomorrow night in Manchester as many people as possible who worked on the programme Open Air, will gather for a celebration to mark 25 years since the programme was on the air. I am truly looking forward to this event. Hopefully there will be a report and some photos. But for now, this is the story of Open Air and my part in it.
