The field is led by first-time BBL Championship winners London Lions after they wrapped up the league title with a game to spare on the final weekend.

Leicester Riders had won the league title for the past three years, but had to settle for second, despite a run of six straight victories to extend the title race and they head into the post-season as the defending champions.

Esh Group Eagles Newcastle will be aiming to return to The O2 for the first time in two years, while BBL Trophy winners London City Royals qualified for the benecos BBL Play-Offs in their debut season.

Meanwhile, Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks had an impressive run of results in the second half of the season to make it into the top five and Kieron Achara has his sights set on a fairytale ending to his career with a shot at silverware.

DBL Sharks Sheffield have never missed out on making the BBL Play-Offs in a run that stretches back to the 1994-95 season, while Cheshire Phoenix and Plymouth Raiders – who end a six-year wait – mark their returns to the post-season to complete the lineup.

Eight teams will become two over the next two weeks ahead of the spectacular end-of-season finale at The O2 Arena on Sunday 19 May, 2019.

A line up of sensational entertainment will round off the day. A BMX Stunt team will be performing their jaw-dropping routines. They’ll be joined by the incredible ‘BBL Dancers’, Freestylers, the BBL Party Crew firing t-shirts in to the crowd plus our very own dunking mascot, making an event which is not to be missed.

Demand is high, with last season’s record breaking crowd set to be eclipsed.
