I have to say I found the whole experience of the return of the British Basketball League (BBL) to the Birmingham area to be a totally inspiring one. I had known for some time that it would happen but the first home game would see the Birmingham Knights taking on the Sheffield Sharks.

Leeds Carnegie’s perfect start to the season came to an end this weekend against Team Northumbria in the National Trophy, losing 83-71 in the North-East.

Worcester Wolves are now the only unbeaten team in the BBL as Glasgow Rocks go down to Plymouth Raiders. Knights (0+3), Surrey (0+3) and Giants (0+4) are all still looking for their first win.
