I suppose the first time I got a sense of something going on was a couple of months ago when I got a warning e-mail from my service provider saying I was close to exceeding my bandwidth allowance.

One of the things I really used to like back in the day when I read newspapers was the Parliamentary sketches. The best writer of these was/is probably Simon Hoggart.
