Well, we're a little bit late with this report but the weekend of Saturday 10th February 2024 was a very special one for me. It started at City of Leeds who were taking on Sheffield Elite in D3. Now as you can imagine I have seen a good few basketball games in my time and this was one of the best ever!

For the final game before Christmas 2023, the Sheffield Sharks' faithful turned out for a massive game against Bristol Flyers! It was a joy to play a part of this very competitive and exciting ball game which went into Overtime! On this occasion the Sharks would hang on for a glorious victory! Onwards and Upwards!!!

Sunday the 27th of November 2023, saw a truly magnificent day's basketball action at the awesome, Canon Medical Arena, Sheffield. It was the 1st Double Header of the season which saw the Sharks taking on the Flyers in the BBL and the Hatters taking on Newcastle in the WBBL. It was a joyous day all round. YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE! Some photos from the WBBL game!

In their 1st defeat at the brand new 'Canon Medical Arena' the Sheffield Sharks were simply out-gunned by the hi-flying London Lions! Despite the fact that 2 of the Lion's' superstars were in their walking clothes, there was simply no way to slow down the Lions never mind stop them.

Well it has been a long time coming! I have been with the Sharks in excess of 25 years and it has been a ride. I really don't remember exactly what year it was that the organisation started talking about building their own venue. But it is here now and what a joy it was to commentate on their first BBL game on the 8th of October 2023. The performance of the team was extraordinary, destroying the Eagles by 30 points. The greatest joy for me was the full house at the Canon Medical Arena, and the incredible atmosphere! That was the day that was!!!
