What A Weekend!

This was absolutely joyous and congrats must go to Sheffield Elite who held on for a famous victory… however congrats must also go to City Of Leeds who made this an encounter that will live long in the memory!!!

Two well match teams going head to head and I have to tell you it was impossible to pick a winner until the final minutes.

From Leeds it was over to Sheffield for an overnight stay in preparation for another massive double header as the Sharks would entertain London Lions in the BBL and then Hatters would take on Oaklands Wolves in the WBBL! The Sharks would put up a good fight but in the end it would prove to be futile as the Lions would open up a gap and maintain it till the end of the game. There were some excellent Sharks’ performances including an MVP nod for Deveral Ramsey!

After that massive BBL Encounter it would be time for the Sheffield Hatters to take on the Oakland Wolves…and what an encounter this was. The Hatters would put on an absolute shooting clinic led by Melita Emanuel-Carr with 21 points including 6 massive triples. She would be well supported by Maddie Washington with 16 points and Georgia Gayle with 13 & Emma Eichmeyer with 11.

The Hatters would bury a total of 11 triples in this one!

For the Wolves, Caterrion Thompson was pretty much unstoppable, with a game-high 24 points well assisted by Alison Day with 16.

That was the weekend that was!
