Week 18 saw some big results as Durham Wildcats destroyed the London Lions at the Copper Box to move into the Play-Off positions while the Cheshire Phoenix got a massive 'come from behind' win in the big North West derby, in front of a full house at the 'Rocking' NorthGate Arena.
Week 17 ends with the massive news that the Cup winning Leicester Riders have beed dumped out of the BBL Trophy by the Cheshire Phoenix. This means Riders have suffered back2back losses this weekend and are now And 3 in the BBL League Table.
Week 16 of the 2013/14 season has concluded with Leicester Riders defeating the Newcastle Eagles to retain the BBL Cup. This win secures yet another trophy for Head Coach Rob Paternostro and his hotter than hot Leicester Riders!
Cheshire Phoenix are consolidating their Play-Off berth and are on a 6-game winning streak. Their latest victory came on the road at Plymouth where the big three of Middleton, Coleman and Moses saw them comfortably past the South West outfit.
After Game 1 of Week 14, the Worcester Wolves have been joined at the top by the Sheffield Sharks who defeated the London Lions in an excellent game at the EISS. Game two of the week will see the Wolves entertaining the Birmingham Knights.
Week 13 of this BBL season and as we go into Christmas Day it is the Worcester Wolves who are on top of the pile with a 12&3 record. Leicester Riders are in second 11&2, the fewest losses in the League, while Newcastle Eagles are in third 14&11 with Sheffield Sharks in fourth with the same record.
As we complete Week 12 of the 2013/14 BBL Season it is the Sheffield Sharks who top the table with a record of 11 & 2. In the BIG North West derby it was Cheshire Phoenix who would take a famous victory over a resurgent Manchester Giants to move into the Play-Off positions with a 6 & 8 record.
Sheffield Sharks have returned to the summit of the BBL League Table following their 'on the road' win at Plymouth. But probably the biggest win of Week 11 was the comprehensive defeat of Glasgow Rocks by the Manchester Giants.
As we close out Week 10 of the BBL 2013/14 Worcester Wolves remain top with the Sheffield Sharks in second place having played two games fewer. However, the big news of this week was the crushing defeat of Newcastle Eagles by the fast-improving Cheshire Phoenix.
