And the big news of Week 27 is that the Worcester Wolves have secured the first piece of silverware in their relatively short history. The Wolves defeated the Glasgow Rocks 83-76 to lift the 2014 BBL Trophy.


And so we complete Week 26 of the 2013/14 BBL Season. It was a good week for the Eagles who hold on to the No 1 position while Sheffield Sharks secure Back2Back wins to underline their Championship credentials.


Worcester Wolves will face the hometown Glasgow Rocks in the final of the BBL Trophy after Worcester defeated Sheffield Sharks and Rocks overcame Cheshire Phoenix.


Week 24 saw massive wins for Newcastle Eagles and Manchester Giants in the BBL while the Cheshire Phoenix defeated the Rocks in another cracking ball game at the Northgate to take a 6 point lead into the 2nd leg..


Week 23 was a good week for the Wildcats and the Giants, both of whom are fighting for Play-Off places in the BBL. The Wildcats are in 7th place and are 12&14 while the Giants are joint 9th with the Rocks 9&15.


Another BIG week in the BBL including Championship and Trophy games is concluded with no surprises in the Championship and Wolves and Rocks picking up the final two places in the BBL Trophy Semi Finals.


With the BBL Trophy now getting down to the business end of things it is Cheshire Phoenix and Sheffield Sharks who are first in to the 2014 semi finals. Back in the BBL it's Worcester Wolves who continue to lead the way, now with a record of 19 & 3.
