On Saturday the 22nd of July 2017, the British Basketball world came together to say goodbye to one of the Legends of the British Game. Some weeks earlier, Drew Sullivan had announced his retirement from the BBL. Drew had won it all in the British game including Championships, MVPs, Trophies and Cups. Without doubt, one of his greatest moments was winning a Bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. There is no doubt that when the ball goes up for the start of the next season, Drew Sullivan will be sorely missed. #thanksdrew
On the 13th of July 2017 all roads led to the Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwickshire for the TPAS National Finals 2017. This very special night would see our special 10th Anniversary celebrations. It has been my great pleasure to host every TPAS Awards Ceremony over the past 10 years. I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to everyone who has worked over the past decade to ensure the success of this wonderful event.
Manchester Thunder finished the regular season in style with a 60-45 victory over Severn Stars, and will now head into the Final Four in Birmingham to play Wasps with confidence. It was a match with a colourful twist as the Thunderdome showed support for the Stonewall campaign, which encourages equality in sport for the LGBT community.
