On Sunday the 23rd of July 2017, hundreds gathered in Manchester Cathedral to celebrate diversity in song, dance, food, fun and fellowship. This was another truly wonderful event with many many highlights.


Saturday the 8th of July saw the wonderful Sparkle take place in Manchester. It was a joy to behold. I had the great pleasure of hosting the Awards and the Gala Ball as well. It was truly a weekend to remember.


‘Peace and Unity: Our Manchester – Our Communities’ will take place in and around Manchester Cathedral from 1.00pm-4.00pm on Sunday the 23rd of July 2017. This event is a follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Peace and Unity: One Community’ event which took place in July 2016 at Manchester Town Hall.

It is with great sadness that British Basketball shares the news that Bill McInnes, interim Chair of British Basketball, passed away on Saturday March 4th 2017 at the age of 71.


During the Christmas period of 2016, Manchester Cathedral broadcast a radio station on DAB in the Manchester area. We were delighted with the station and talks are ongoing about the possibility of doing it again in 2017. This is one of our favourite interviews broadcast on the station.
