Michelle is leaving to take up the role of Group Chief Executive with Cynon Taf Community Housing Group, based in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales.

TPAS Chair, Steve Meakin said “It is with genuine sadness and affection that TPAS bids farewell to Michelle. Michelle has been a fantastic asset to TPAS and has been instrumental in driving successful improvements, initiatives and stability in the organisation over the past four and a half years. We thank her in particular for her warmth, her passion for tenant involvement, her commitment to equality and diversity and of course her humour!”

“However all at TPAS are excited for her in her new role which we know is part of her long held personal desire to relocate to Wales with her family”.

“Jenny Topham will take over as Acting Chief Executive from January to ensure that it remains ‘business as usual’ at TPAS and I know all TPAS staff and Directors will continue to work hard at providing a quality service for all our members and clients”.

Michelle Reid said “TPAS is such a great organisation and I’ve been on a fantastic journey with the brilliant members, staff and the Board of TPAS over the past few years. I know that TPAS will go from strength to strength as the business case for tenant involvement becomes more and more obvious to everyone. It’s certainly been a rollercoaster ride for tenant empowerment in England, but the passion, drive and commitment of involved tenants will continue to inform and inspire my work in the future. Whilst it will be a wrench to leave TPAS, I am really excited to be joining the tenants, staff and Board at Cynon Taf; another organisation that has tenants at the heart of everything they do.”

Further announcements on the Chief Executive recruitment process will be made in the new year.
