On Tuesday 11th June 2019 friends and family attended Huntcliffe Wood Crematorium to say our final goodbye to Mike Tuck's mum Susan. I had only met her twice but had the great pleasure of interviewing her at the Sharks End Of Season do. She was truly inspirational.

History was made in the States on many fronts last night - the unfancied Toronto Raptors won a significant game of basketball and in the process made Nick Nurse the very first former British Basketball League (BBL) coach to go on to become a NBA Finals champion.

Last night, The Toronto Raptors won their 1st ever NBA Title under the tutelage of Nick Nurse. Nick is a legend of the British game having coached and played for Derby, and coached and won trophies at Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton and London Towers. Nine years ago he was assistant coach to Chris Finch of the GB Senior Men's team. I had the great pleasure of interviewing him for mikeshaft.com. In this interview I asked him about the possibility of coaching in the NBA. This interview was carried out in 2010 and was first published in December of 2014.
