Going through some of the old designs of mikeshaft.com I came across this story which was published on 9 November 2007. Sadly one of the other news stories, in fact the leading story, was of the very serious accident suffered by Brian Dux of the Guildford Heat.

Tracey has been placed in interim charge of the England Netball team following the departure of Head Coach Anna Mayes on Thursday. Her shock departure comes just five months before the 2015 Netball World Cup takes place in Australia.

Part 2 of the story of my trip to the Commonwealth Games in Victoria Canada was first published years ago. However in the change to the new design of mikeshaft.com it would seem that it is just one of a number of pages ... lost in transition. Having found it now, I thought I would put it back at the top of the list.

The BBL Play Off picture still remains in doubt as the 7 & 8 places are still very much up for grabs. Sheffield and Bristol are now in those positions but Manchester, Durham and Plymouth could all still make the Postseason party. At the top Eagles should soon be crowned Champions while Glasgow and London (5&6) could still secure home court advantage. Still all to play for.

Last Friday night, Legend of the British game Lynard Stewart was inducted into the Newcastle Eagles' Hall of Fame. The game on the night would see the hometown Newcastle Eagles crush the Cheshire Phoenix.

This Yorkshire Jets' team list is as per the game on 30 January 2015 which was played at the EIS Sheffield. The opponents were Loughborough Lightning. The Jets would run out winners by a scoreline of 70 - 44.
