Three of the BBL Championship's top four teams won on Friday as attention turned back to league action.

Leeds Force went down 53-65 in a battling display against high flying Cheshire Phoenix. Despite a spirited display Leeds were unable to secure the win against a Cheshire team who entered the game on a 10 game unbeaten league run.

It was a good night for two of the top BBL sides on Saturday, as Worcester Wolves celebrated a nail-biting victory in the BBL Championship, while Leicester Riders began their BBL Trophy campaign with a blow-out win at the Sir David Wallace Sports Centre.

The season's first piece of silverware was handed out on Sunday, and now it is the turn of the BBL Trophy to take centre stage as three teams from outside the top-flight aim to cause an upset.

2015 saw the first ever WBBL Trophy Final at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. The Sheffield Hatters took on the Nottingham Wildcats and came away as the winners of the inaugural WBBL Trophy Final by a scoreline of 76-62.
