Flyers 2014-15 - 1

The play-caller has overseen a wonderful start for the BBL rookies, who have made an exciting start to life as a BBL team franchise.

Flyers have surpassed all expectations during the first five weeks of their inaugural campaign and managed to chalk up no fewer than five wins.

Kapoulas had to contend with challenge of not only preparing his team for life at the elite level, but also a hectic start which has witnessed Flyers play nine games between the season tip-off and the end of October.

The coach enjoyed a brilliant start to the season with a memorable opening weekend, beating south-west rivals Plymouth University Raiders 65-56 to get off the mark at the first attempt, prior to completing a spectacular 79- 62 success against Glasgow Rocks at the Emirates Arena.

They won 90-82 at Worcester Wolves in a special Halloween performance to remarkably catapult themselves into the last four of the BBL Cup and now find themselves just 40 minutes away from making a showpiece Final during their first season as a BBL side.

Kapoulas fought off stiff competition from both Fab Flournoy of the Eagles and Rob Paternostro of the Riders who have enjoyed terrific starts to the season and have also been regular winners of the monthly award in the past.
