Nebo - 2

Anebo has been with the club for the last four seasons, having joined originally from London club Brixton Topcats.

Anebo regularly brings Leeds fans to their feet with his aggressive ‘never quit’ style of play and Force Head Coach Matt Newby is pleased to have him back on board saying, “Armand resigning is integral to the evolution of the club. Since arriving we have seen the highest return in industry works, ethic and heart”.

He continued, “In short he is a warrior and he commands respect from his peers. His loyalty has been fantastic and we could not ask for more from a team captain.”

NeboAnebo averaged 10.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game last season as he help guide Leeds to their first Division One Playoff championship.

He is delighted with his new role as captain saying, “I’m a really excited about the prospect of another season with Leeds and their first as the Force. I’m looking forward to the new challenges that the BBL will bring and I am honoured to be named captain for the club’s first BBL season.”

Anebo will meet up with his teammates in the coming weeks as they start their preparations for the club’s first BBL campaign. The countdown is on as the season starts with a difficult away trip to Durham to face the Wildcats on the 28th September.

Leeds’ inaugural BBL roster is close to completion with the remaining signings to be announced over the next few weeks. With the excitement growing fans can still get their early bird season tickets through the club website until the beginning of September.
