“I think it’s a massive weekend as far as our destination in where we want to finish in the league this year
and I don’t think it gets much tougher than a weekend away in Plymouth and then at Cheshire.
This year we’ve been very tough mentally and physically and we’ve manage to find ways to win,
and certainly we need some points out of the weekend.”

London Lions consolidated fifth spot in the BBL Championship on Thursday night as they ended a three-game losing streak and avoided being swept by Durham Wildcats.
Vince Macaulay and his players avenged their loss in the north-east earlier in the season and a recent defeat at the Copper Box Arena to make it third time lucky, as Kramer Knutson and veteran duo Rod Brown and Mike Martin led the way.

BBL Championship leaders Worcester Wolves had a big second half to thank for their victory at Plymouth University Raiders.
Wolves trailed 41-39 at half time but outscored their hosts 54-22 over the third and fourth quarters to seal the win. Will Creekmore led all scorers for Wolves with 18 points.
In the evening’s other match Cheshire Phoenix had to work hard to hold off Birmingham Knights on the road.
Victor Moses scored 32 points in the 96-87 victory, which saw Knights close to within six points in the fourth quarter before Phoenix pulled away. Brent Benson hit six threes for Knights in his 31 points.

In a busy, thrilling and historic night of action, Fab Flournoy and Manchester Giants wrote the headlines as the Eagles’ player-coach set a new BBL appearance record of 541 games and the Giants picked up a pulsating 91-86 win against Leicester Riders.
There was plenty to celebrate for Flournoy as his team won 74-66 at Glasgow Rocks to maintain their unbeaten BBL Championship record in 2014 and he will have no doubt enjoyed seeing title rivals Leicester slip-up.
The defending champions had Drew Sullivan and Ant Downing back in their line-up, but crashed to a fourth loss in five league games, as David Aliu amassed 28 points for the winning team. Rob Marsden claimed a double-double for the Giants, whilst Yorick Williams plundered 20 points against his former club.
Worcester Wolves are still the team to catch after the leaders extended their streak to a super ten BBL Championship games in a row with a 105-94 success at Cheshire Phoenix. Zaire Taylor and Will Creekmore led the way, with the former pouring in 30 points and Creekmore adding a wonderful 17 points and 19 boards.
In the other two games, both Durham Wildcats and London Lions eased to wins against the bottom two clubs in the BBL Championship.
Wildcats stormed to a 103-70 home success against Birmingham Knights thanks to a near-perfect shooting night from RJ Evans and a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds from big man Mike Allison.
It was a similar story for Lions as they crushed Surrey United 96-66, with Rod Brown only missing a free-throw all night and center Kramer Knutson contributing 17 points and 15 rebounds.
