This April, 2014, Piccadilly Radio will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. I had the great pleasure of working at the Station for 8 years between 1978 and 1986. See some of the articles I have written about the station here.
The line-up for the 2014 BBL Trophy semi-finals has been concluded as the last four teams standing in the competition continue their pursuit of the coveted silverware.
Another BIG week in the BBL including Championship and Trophy games is concluded with no surprises in the Championship and Wolves and Rocks picking up the final two places in the BBL Trophy Semi Finals.
It is difficult to imagine that for over 15 years I have never contemplated going through my VHS collection to look back at some of my SKY games from back in the Day. Well I am on it now.
Birmingham As defeated NASSA to win a stunning England Basketball National Cup Final at the Amaechi Centre in Manchester. The other winners were Sevenoaks Suns who won both the U16 and U18 Women's National Cups and Peckham Pride who won the U16 Boys Cup.

With the BBL Trophy now getting down to the business end of things it is Cheshire Phoenix and Sheffield Sharks who are first in to the 2014 semi finals. Back in the BBL it's Worcester Wolves who continue to lead the way, now with a record of 19 & 3.
On the 15th of February 2014 the great and the good of British basketball headed to the Amaechi Centre for the EB National Cup Finals. It was another joyous sporting occasion and it was a pleasure to be a part of it.
