Leeds Carnegie Looking To ‘Rock’ Glasgow Rocks
- Comments: None
This will be the first time that the club has ever played a competitive top flight game in the British Basketball League.
Leeds Carnegie Director of Basketball Matt Newby is excited by the challenge saying “This undoubtedly is one of the biggest games in our young club’s history and I feel an opportunity to test ourselves ahead of our full BBL season in 2014-15.”
He continued, “The rocks have proven over the last 15 years to be one of the perennial contenders and very much the core of the Scottish basketball movement”
This game is part of the club’s preparations as they build towards their full entry into the league for the 2014/15 season.
Glasgow Rocks Head Coach Sterling Davis is weary of the trip saying “It’s always a stressful circumstance as a coach to make sure your team goes into the game with the right mindset when the odds are for you. Our biggest challenge this weekend will be the mental aspect of playing our game.”
The game is a complete sell out with a raucous capacity crowd expected for this special night.
