The GB international had 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 100-92 victory over Plymouth University Raiders on Friday night and then poured in a game-high 28 points in Sunday’s 80-77 comeback win over Glasgow Rocks.

“We respect the Glasgow Rocks because they got probably the most experienced group of guys in the league,” said Lions’ coach Vince Macaulay.

“We knew it was going to be a very tough encounter and they started the game sizzling hot from the three-point line.

“Eventually we caught up with them, wore them out and Bryan-Amaning put in one of the performances of the season.

“We’re loving having him here.”

Defeat to London capped a miserable road trip for the Rocks, who lost 81-72 at Leicester Riders the previous night.

Rashad Hassan and Anthony Rowe led the way for Leicester with 16 points apiece as the Riders fought back from a big early deficit to win the game in overtime.

Durham Wildcats saw their recent good run come to an end as they also lost twice on the road.

In South Yorkshire on Friday, 21 points from Mike Tuck and 20 from Jeremie Simmons helped One Health Sharks Sheffield to an 81-67 win over the Wildcats.

On Sunday, Plymouth bounced back from their loss in London to hand Durham an 85-73 defeat, behind 20 points from Matt Pressey.

Worcester Wolves still lead the way and continued their 100% start to the season with an 80-71 win away at Esh Group Eagles Newcastle. Wolves’ Zaire Taylor led all scorers with 25 points, including a three-pointer which sparked the decisive 12-0 fourth quarter run that put his side ahead for good.

At the other end of the table, three teams went into the weekend still looking for their first win of the season. For Manchester Giants that wait is over following Sunday’s 101-83 victory over Birmingham Knights.

Led by 34 points from David Aliu and 28 from Stefan Gill, the Giants broke open the game in the final quarter to leave the Knights still searching for their first win.

“We did a good job on [Birmingham’s Brent] Benson,” said Giants’ coach Jeff Jones. “He got 29 points but we made him earn them and we did a good job defensively on him.

“We played pretty well, we moved the ball well and we did a lot of good things, and it was a step in the right direction.

“It’s great to get a win for the players and for the fans.”

Jones added; “Birmingham are young, they’re going through their growing pains.

“Paul [Douglas, Knights’ coach] will do a good job with those kids and they will beat some people.”

Finally, Cheshire Phoenix are up to eighth after their 99-70 win over Surrey United. Reggie Middleton and new signing Gerald Robinson both had 23 points for Cheshire, while Surrey’s Ceslovas Kucinskas had an impressive 25 rebounds to go with his 23 points.
