And what a night we had...the first home game of the new Vitality Super-league Season and at our brand new venue. The elements were all there for a truly stunning night. And a stunning night it was. A full house, an awesome game and a stunning come-from-behind victory that very few would have dreamed of midway through the 4th quarter. This is what Champions are made of!
On Monday the 7th of May 2018, Manchester Thunder entertained Loughborough Lightning at Belle Vue and what an event it was! The high-light was welcoming home England Netball Coach Tracey Neville to the game. She had just led her team to Gold at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. It just had to be something special.
Manchester Thunder finished the regular season in style with a 60-45 victory over Severn Stars, and will now head into the Final Four in Birmingham to play Wasps with confidence. It was a match with a colourful twist as the Thunderdome showed support for the Stonewall campaign, which encourages equality in sport for the LGBT community.
