On Sunday the 10th of July 2012, the 'Manchester Day' parade took place once again and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester over 100 members of the original games volunteer force joined in the celebrations.

During my time in charge at Sunset Radio, I remember receiving a communication from the Radio Authority telling me about the Commonwealth Relations Trust Bursary. This is a bursary which provides for individuals to go abroad to other Commonwealth countries, in the hope of bettering the understanding and relations between Commonwealth countries.

I suppose the first time I got a sense of something going on was a couple of months ago when I got a warning e-mail from my service provider saying I was close to exceeding my bandwidth allowance.
