While all eyes are fixed on Sunday's BBL Cup showdown at the Barclaycard Arena on Sunday between Rocks and Eagles, there are also five exciting BBL Championship games to savour, including the return of the 2010 BBL MVP, Mike Cook.


Friday night will see three games in the BBL Championship including a top of the table clash between Worcester Wolves and Newcastle Eagles. Also on the same night, Leeds Force will entertain Plymouth Raiders and Sheffield Sharks have a monster home game against the hi-flying Cheshire Phoenix.


There were wins for three BBL Championship title contenders on Sunday as Worcester Wolves, Leicester Riders and Cheshire Phoenix all enjoyed success.


Paul James was left thrilled as his Worcester Wolves team collected a memorable 86-82 triumph at Leicester Riders in a frenetic and highly entertaining game between the title chasing duo.


Saturday night saw just 1 game in the BBL and it was not a close one as League leading Newcastle Eagles destroyed Manchester Giants to continue their unbeaten run which now stands at 17.


Well four 'Week 13' games were completed on Friday night which saw easy wins for Newcastle, and Leicester. Sharks got an ugly one over Rocks while in the big one Wolves got mauled by the Lions.


There's no time to ease up ahead of Christmas with nine BBL Championship games between now and the big day.


Well the Newcastle Eagles keep on rolling on but things are hotting up in the next few BBL Championship places.

Well it is possible that Week 9 will be remembered as the week of upsets. The bottom two, Surrey and Leeds both doubled their points tally while Glasgow Rocks travelled to Leicester and returned home with a BBL Cup Semi-Final place in the bag.
