London Lions have won the 2022 WBBL Trophy for a second consecutive year after they beat Sevenoaks Suns 72-36 in the Betty Codona WBBL Trophy Final.

Cheshire Phoenix have won the BBL Trophy for the fifth time in the club's history, but first since they won it four times in a row up to 2004, after beating London Lions 82-68 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, live on Sky Sports.

In the final game of the day, Cheshire Phoenix moved up to fourth place in the standings with a convincing victory over the thoroughly entertaining Bristol Flyers, who failed to capitalise on the abundance of highlight plays they made throughout the game.

Leicester Riders lifted the BBL Cup after beating Manchester Giants 83-69 in the final at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena. The Riders capped a memorable afternoon in front a record crowd for a BBL Cup final as a capacity crowd of Basketball fanatics turned out to an incredible match which was also enjoyed by many more watching live on Sky Sports.

The BBL Cup is the first of the trophies to be decided each season with the final taking place in recent years at the prestigious NIA Birmingham. In theory, as a knock-out competition, it is one of the easier competitions to win but try telling that to the many teams who have never even come close.
