In one of the most dramatic weekends of the season so far, Leicester Riders' defence of the BBL Cup is over after Kieron Achara's desperation shot at the buzzer gave Glasgow Rocks an incredible 85-84 win.


Well it is possible that Week 9 will be remembered as the week of upsets. The bottom two, Surrey and Leeds both doubled their points tally while Glasgow Rocks travelled to Leicester and returned home with a BBL Cup Semi-Final place in the bag.


While much of the focus this weekend will be on the last remaining BBL Cup quarter-final, there are also six important BBL Championship clashes to savour.


Cheshire Phoenix has completed an audacious move to sign the world's tallest basketball player, Paul 'Tiny' Sturgess.


And so the Cheshire Phoenix are finally finding their feet in the 2014/15 BBL Season. Back2Back wins against Bristol and Plymouth have seen the 'NIX' rise to 4th in the Week 8 BBL League Table.

Well there were some truly big wins in Week 7 of this BBL Championship. Leeds Force picked up their first win while Bristol Flyers won a big one against Sheffield Sharks at home. Both Force and Flyers would lose their second games this weekend. Force to Leicester Riders while Flyers went down to Glasgow Rocks.


After three BBL Cup quarter-finals last weekend, it's back to the cut and thrust of BBL Championship action.


Well Cheshire Phoenix finally got the win that they have been looking for. This always was going to be a defining week in the history of the new-look Phoenix. Friday's defeat to Sheffield was certainly a set-back.
