Sunday the 27th of November 2023, saw a truly magnificent day's basketball action at the awesome, Canon Medical Arena, Sheffield. It was the 1st Double Header of the season which saw the Sharks taking on the Flyers in the BBL and the Hatters taking on Newcastle in the WBBL. It was a joyous day all round. For the past few decades I have always picked my top three tracks end of the year. This year, as we build up to those choices for 2023, I am going to list all of The Contenders here on mikeshaft.com!

In another night for the ages, "The Sheffield Sharks defeated the Leicester Riders 91-84 , to improve their record to 5-1 on their new home court." This result also moves the Sharks up to 3rd in the BBL Championship standing with a record 8 & 6. The same number of wins as the Phoenix but with 2 more losses!
