Esh Group Eagles Newcastle moved clear at the top of the BBL Championship after moving to a 3-0 start with a 91-63 win over Leeds Force at Sport Central.
The Eagles were led by an 18-point haul from Darius Defoe as they inflicted a third defeat on Leeds Force, who join Bristol Flyers at the foot of the table.
Meanwhile, Manchester Giants completed a remarkable turnaround as they defeated Plymouth University Raiders, 95-89, for their second straight win despite being 18 points down at one stage late in the third.
