After picking up a season ending injury, in a game against Manchester Giants, last campaign the British centre is glad to be back in Leeds saying “I am extremely excited to be coming back to the great city of Leeds. Having suffered the injury I did so early on last season it was heart-breaking for me to leave. I sat watching most of the games back at home just wishing I was there helping and supporting the team.”

The seven footer had an impressive start to his rookie BBL campaign averaging 9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Leeds Force Head Coach Matt Newby is excited to see Wells reach his potential saying “Zak began this journey last year and was on his way to achieving a great deal in terms of individual development. This was halted by a tough injury early in the season, he has now rehabilitated and seems even more enthused to make an impact. It’s in Zak’s DNA to contribute in whatever way he can and he will do whatever it takes.”

Excitement is building as Leeds look to build on their successful first season in the BBL. Wells is keen to bring more to the city saying “My main priority is to do my absolute best to bring more wins to the club. I feel that the club has not seen the best of me and I can’t wait to start showing them who I am and what I can bring to the team. I think the team did brilliantly last season and I feel there is a lot to build on.”

Leeds fans will be excited to see Wells back on court and have been taking advantage of the early bird discount for 2015/16 season tickets. They are available through the club website with Adults £150, Concessions £70 and a Family (2+2) ticket available for just £370.
