- Comments: None
Manchester Community Giants, the club’s not-for-profit arm, has taken on three Community Basketball Development Officers.
They are Donald Johnson, Richard Hill and Ambokile Bell.
All have a depth of coaching skill and experience and their duties will include strengthening the Giants’ existing relationships with the club’s school, college, academy and club partners and forging new links across the city.
They will also help deliver other community and charity-related programmes.
Giants director Graham Herstell said: “These appointments illustrate the Giants’ commitment to building on the good work we have already done in forming productive partnerships with schools and colleges such as The Manchester College, Myerscough College, Manchester Metropolitan University, Oldham College and St Peter’s High School – as well as Stockport Basketball club and Oldham Titans.
“These three new full-time employees can help us make the next step in our development as a club and community partner and extend and improve the work we do on different levels in developing basketball in Manchester.
“They are three high-quality individuals with a love for the sport and we looking forward to working with them to achieve our goals.”
