The Sheila Hopkins BBL Volunteer of the Year

Back in the 2008/09 Season, the BBL established the BBL Volunteer of the Year Award in the name and memory of Sheila Hopkins.

Sheila Hopkins was a legend of British Basketball who worked with the Birmingham Bullets for decades.

She was with the Bullets during the heyday of games at the NIA and the NEC, and during the tough times of school halls and leisure centres.

This year the 2014 Award goes to Sheffield Sharks Volunteer John LAKE (Above with glasses).
John is a stalwart of British Basketball and the Sharks and we at mikeshaft.com offer him our sincere congratulations.
