BBL Championship club, Plymouth University Raiders, have today announced that Coach Gavin Love has left the club.

Plymouth University Raiders have released the following statement:

“The Board has carried out a pre season review of all roles, and as a result, have passed a vote of no confidence in Gavin Love taking the club forward. We therefore had no alternative but to terminate his contract.”

Plymouth University Raiders are well known and respected as the bench mark for junior development and match night presentation. We also believe it is time that we were considered the bench mark for performance, and rewarding our loyal and fantastic supporters, and many many volunteers with some truly entertaining basketball and winning performances.

Newcastle held that mantle for nearly a decade. Last year it was Leicester. Why not Plymouth this year?

A further statement will be released by the club on Monday.
