The Giants have added the 6ft 6ins forward to their roster for the 2015/16 season.

Player/coach Yorick Williams is pleased to have been able to recruit a player he regards as a leader.

Babalola, 33, has won BBL championship, Cup and Trophy medals with Sheffield Sharks, Mersey Tigers and Newcastle Eagles.

Williams said; “I have known Olu a long time and know him as an experienced, talented player and a winner.

“He will add a great deal to what we are try to achieve at the club and will be a superb role model for some of our younger players.”

London-born Bablola joins Stefan Gill, Ingus Bankevics, Anthony Purcell and Ryan Lewis, who have re-signed with the club from last season.

Williams has also brought in shooting guard Reiss Haggith and hopes to be able to announce further signings in the coming weeks.
