Carnegie 2014 - 14

They will take on Medway Park at the Leeds Metropolitan University Sports Arena on Friday before the trip South to Hemel to face the Storm on Saturday.

Carnegie 2014

After a turbulent season on and off the court Medway Park Crusaders find themselves safely in 11th place. The sides met earlier in the season with the Kent club having the better of Leeds in a 75-65 loss.

Friday’s game is at the Leeds Metropolitan University Sports Arena (LS6 3QS) and tips off at 7:30pm. A bumper crowd is expected to bid a farewell to Division One as it will be the club’s last home game before they make the move up to the BBL next season.

They will then regroup to face Hemel Storm on Saturday, in what could be a rehearsal for a possible Playoff quarter-final match up. After a strong start to the season Hemel have found the going harder recently and the loss of their standout centre Zak Wells to injury has added to their issues. They will however finish within the top four in the regular season, securing them a home draw for the playoff quarter-finals.

Leeds will enter the weekend’s games knowing that a pair of wins will gain them the top five finish that they want but a loss in either game is likely to see them finish sixth. Either way they will face an away trip too either local rivals Bradford Dragons or Saturday’s opponents Hemel Storm in the quarter-finals of the playoffs.

Tickets for the last home game of the season on Friday having been selling fast, there will be tickets available on the door, Adults £6 – Concessions £3 – Family (2+2) £15.
