An impressive win over Durham Wildcats took Phoenix to 3-7 last week, as they continue to recover from a mixed start with the help of some high-level reinforcements.

Williams (pictured) said: “Victor Moses has been phenomenal. He is an automatic 20 (points) and 10 (rebounds) every night and we don’t even need to run a play for him to get that.

“Devan Bailey to me is the player who isn’t talked about enough sometimes. He is a great defender and a team-first guy. He has been a great addition to our team.”

Williams and the Phoenix now want to add Glasgow to their growing list of scalps.

“I believe if we keep working hard, week-by-week and playing as a team we can make a run in the Play-offs,” he added.

“But honestly we aren’t thinking too far ahead, we have way too many tough teams to face to even start thinking about the end of the season like that and it starts this Sunday with a very good side in Glasgow.

“They have a great player-coach in Sterling Davis and we will need to be even better than we were last weekend if we want the same result.”

Last time they met:

Glasgow Rocks 87 Cheshire Phoenix 69 (BBL Championship, Emirates Arena, 01/02/2013)

What they say:

Phoenix coach John Lavery: “It says a hell of a lot about our guys that we beat Durham last weekend with just six guys while they had a 10-man rotation.

“Glasgow are an under-rated team. They have only won two games but are a great team with players like EJ Harrison, Gareth Murray and Daniel Northern.”

Rocks coach Sterling Davis: “We are still not there yet. We just could not get stops against Durham when we needed them. Against Newcastle, just as before, our turnovers were converted into 22 points, so it’s tough to win against a team like that.

“Cheshire have made some positive improvements to their roster. I think they definitely have some talent there who, especially at home, can be very dangerous.”
