WEEK 1 COMPLETED 3 TEAMS REMAIN UNBEATEN, ROCKS YET TO PLAY

The Sharks followed up their home win on Friday against Cheshire Phoenix by beating the north-west’s other team Manchester Giants on the road.

Sheffield held a 16 point lead at half time and never allowed their hosts to get closer than eight points during the second half.

The Eagles may have only just held off Durham Wildcats in their first match on Friday but once they’d gone 34-9 up on Phoenix after ten minutes the win was as good as safe.
Malik Cooke was nine of nine from the field on his way to 21 points, while teammate Paul Gause hit 23. Reggie Middleton led all-scorers with 27 points for Cheshire.

And in Devon the Lions controlled the match almost from the opening tip against Plymouth. Rob Brown’s 21 points led the way for the capital city’s club.
Matt Pressey scored 18 points in a losing effort for the Raiders.
