The game will take place on Sunday 11th May.

The decision further builds upon the current buzz surrounding basketball in London at the current time. Last weekend, Great Britain defeated Puerto Rico in front of 6,000 screaming fans at the Copper Box Arena and on Wednesday London Lions sold out their first game at their new venue.

BBL COO Andy Webb was enthusiastic about returning to London. “Last year’s final was a great event and a great advert for the sport and this year’s promises to be even better.”

Last season GB Captain Drew Sullivan’s MVP performance led Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders to a 68-57 victory over Newcastle Eagles in front of a capacity crowd of 8,500 at the end of a season where attendances had risen by 27% across the BBL.

BBL Fans will be able to purchase advance tickets for the return to Wembley soon.
