The BBL are delighted to announce that new owners have been found for the Cheshire franchise and that the club will now be known as Cheshire Phoenix.


Friday night saw plenty of action in the BBL Championship as the London Lions, Newcastle Eagles, UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders and Surrey Heat all picked up victories to continue their push for the summit of the Championship table.


It's not only BBL Championship action this weekend, but also the start of the BBL Cup semi-finals.

After years in the planning, Leeds Carnegie finally launched their new arena with a massive D1 League game against bitter local rivals Bradford Dragons.


In the only game to be played on Friday night, Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders returned to winning ways by collecting a hard fought 82-71 success in Manchester to move clear at the top of the BBL Championship.


Andrew Bridge began his basketball playing career with Mansfield before being picked up by Chris Finch at the Sharks. After 5 years in Sheffield, Andrew would head for Newcastle where he would become part of the most successful Franchise in the British Game. I am delighted that I was able to put a few questions to him.
