Saturday night in the BBL Championship saw a first win of the season for the Worcester Wolves, while the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders maintained their unbeaten start.


The renewal of a classic old BBL rivalry saw the One Health Sharks Sheffield cross the Pennines to meet the Manchester Giants, with the Giants triumphing by 99-87 after a storming second half comeback.

Worcester Wolves has secured a new sponsorship deal with its home-court venue, the University of Worcester. The University has signed a one year deal to take over the sponsorship for the 2012/2013 season.

This weekend will see the Manchester Giants Basketball Club take to the floor in the BBL for the first time in over 10 years. I had hoped to be there but unfortunately I am unable to attend.
