This British Basketball photo was taken in 1997 to publicise and celebrate the All Star Game of that year.

Incredibly, 1 of the players pictured below is still playing basketball at the very highest level. He is Nate Reinking

The others featured in this classic British Basketball photograph are Tony Dorsey, Todd Cauthorn, James Hamilton, Billy Singleton, Peter Scantlebury, Mark Robinson, Eric Burks, Richard Scantlebury, Steve McGlothin, and Kelvin Robinson.

This Classic British Basketball photo was taken Back in the Day to publicise and celebrate the uni-ball sponsorship of the BBL Trophy.

I have to admit there are a couple of players in this photo whose names I do not remember. (Apologies)

I have spotted Ronnie Baker, Stedroy Baker, Todd Cauthorn, HL Coleman, Peter Scantlebury, Sean Bell, Jason Siemon and John White.

The Head Coach is Bob Donewald.

If you can help me out with the missing names I’d be really grateful. (e-mail Mike Shaft)

This Classic British Basketball photo was taken in 1999 at the Sheffield Arena.

The Game was the Classic Cola National Cup Final which saw the Sheffield Sharks defeat the London Leopards 67-65.

Leopards’ star Robert Youngblood lies disconsolate on the floor as his team went down to defeat.

In a truly touching moment, this young Leopards’ fan tries her best to console him.

This Classic British Basketball photo was taken on Saturday 8th March 1997 at the NIA Birmingham.

Incredibly, the NIA was at this time the home court of the Birmingham Bullets.

The Bullets played to regular crowds that exceeded 7000.

On this special occasion, the Management under legendary owner Harry Wrublewski decided that they would try to break the record for the biggest ever crowd to attend a British basketball game.

In the end the record 12,200 set by the Manchester Giants at the Nynex Arena was broken, as in excess of 13,000 people attended the game.

The game featured the Birmingham Bullets taking on the Sheffield Sharks.

It truly was a night to remember.

This Classic British Basketball photo was taken on xx xx xx at the Wembley Arena.

The London Towers had just won the Final 4 at The Championship Weekend.

Of at these events there are a number of great shots as the winners celebrate, but this photo is truly one of the iconic images of British Basketball.

It is a truly memorable photo.

This Classic British Basketball photo was taken by photographer Bruce Stidham.

It features John Amaechi, then playing for the Sheffield Sharks.

Of all the basketball images I have seen over the years, this remains one of my absolute favourites. The simplicity is just wonderful.

Ever since seeing this photo for the first time I have been trying to get a great shot like this.

So far I have not come even close.
