For some years now I have been contemplating the possibility of publishing a master list of past and present BBL players. I fully realize that this list will never be complete and names will be added as I am made aware of them. The fact that someone’s name isn’t as yet on the list does not mean that they are less important than anyone else. This always will be a work in progress. If you know of players I am missing, and there are thousands, then please drop me your list by e-mail, including the teams played for. I will be delighted to include them.

In our quest to document each and every player to have played in the BBL we have now arrived at the letters I J & K. This includes Paul James, Colin Irish, Will 'The Thrill' Johnson and Harvey Knuckles. If you know of a BBL player that we have not included then please let us know. We know that this will always be a work in progress but we saw no reason not to make a start.

In our quest to document each and a very player to have played in the BBL we have now arrived at the letter H. This includes James Hamilton, Chris Haslam, Martin Henlan and Butch Hayes. If you know of a BBL player that we have not included then please let us know.

As our quest to document every player who has ever played in the BBL continues, I must remind you that the fact that someone’s name isn’t as yet on the list does not mean that they are less important than anyone else. This always will be a work in progress.

Back in 2002 during the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, I was working at BBC 2002 Commonwealth Games Radio. I got a phone call from the Manager of BBC GMR asking if I was available to present their Sunday Breakfast programme as holiday cover.
