This first issue included the first entrants into the Mike Shaft Hall of Fame, it included a look at one of the greatest ever basketball performances, Terry Crosby’s 73 point haul against Manchester Giants, while playing for Bolton Bees.

It also featured an interview with Tony Dorsey, who was, back then, just about the best player in the League.

However the feature that I am re-printing here is the Coaches All-Time Top Ten. I invited 4 of the top coaches in the League at that time to pick their top ten players of all time. The Coaches were Jim Brandon, Kevin Cadle, Jeff Jones and Mike Burton. I also decide to pick my top ten as well. I can tell you it was not easy, but in the end I got it done.

Please remember that these picks were made in January of 1997.
